I HAVE HIT MY 100lb MARK!

I started my weight loss journey on August 26th, 2011 at 325lbs.

I am now 224.4lbs as of April 17th, 2012.(318lbs is my closest starting picture.)

I am 6’ 3”, 18 years old, and I have always been fat. I owe that a little to genetics, my whole family is pretty much big people, and the way I grew up. I didn’t have any friends throughout elementary and middle school. I was the kid who sat during recess and read a nice book instead of playing with other kids. Do I regret that? Not at all. But I do believe it caused my metabolism to be ultimately slow, seeing as I never really did much exercise until I started losing the weight now, when I’m 18. Also, I was watched by grandparents until I was 12 who always fed me fast food.

Despite this, I started lifting weights in high school a bit. I can leg press 1200lbs. I have always had perfect blood pressure and cholesterol. So don’t you dare think that fat people are always unhealthy. I am living proof that they aren’t.

My waist went from being 51” to 38.5”

My shirt size went from XXL to L

My pant size went from 44”x34” to 36”x34

I have some loose skin on my arms, thighs, and stomach. I’ll deal with that in my own time.

I’m making this change for myself. I want to be the best “me” I can be. :]

HOLY SHIT. Inspiration.

childofwestwind asked: I have a question for you! If you don't mind. :] My family and I have been fighting with our scale, my stepdad wanted this fancy "biggest loser" scale that keeps track of all this stuff. The rest of us just wanted something that would tell us our weight as we work towards our goal. But our scale is always off, adding anywhere from two to ten pounds and of course he tossed out the guide to fix it. What kind of scale do you use or what kind do you think we should get?

This is a most excellent question. I currently weight in on 3 scales. 1 being our wii fit, which is known for being inaccurate, but ours is pretty damn good. The second one is my ‘fancy’ one from home. It tell you your bmi based on the pulse it sends through your body. It’s percentages are pretty accurate (from when I’ve been to the Dr’s office), but it is about 3lbs heavy. The 3rd one, is the medical scale at work. They use it for The Biggest Loser Competition, that I hope to enter soon! All in all, I think any scale is better than no scale, just know that at the end of the day, the scale isn’t the most important factor… it is you. You should feel good, and that is what is important. :)

Started a ‘Chip In’…

for my work’s Biggest Loser Competition. As many of you know, I am completely broke, even working a full time job. But I am supporting Katie and I both, seeing as she is struggling to find a job at all. I sincerely think this could be a really good thing, not only for my weightloss goals, and staying on track, but the winner could win up to $800. I know a lot of you don’t know me personally, nor do I expect a huge response from this, but trust me, I need it. We’ve gotten numerous eviction notices, that I keep paying enough of to stay here, and every month I am paying barely enough to keep our electric on, and now I have student loans rolling in, because I can no longer afford to be a full-time student out-of-pocket. I struggle enough with keeping the electric on, and the roof over our heads, and I can only imagine if I could get enough money to enter, and possibly win. Winning this would pay for almost 2 months of our rent, and really help me out, so even if it is $1, or even if you could just reblog this, I’d appreciate any help and support that any of you could give me.
